Nov 5th General Election - Important Dates

OCTOBER 16TH- Is the FIRST day ballots can be mailed out to the voter

October 21st by 5:00 pm- Is the LAST day to request an Absentee Ballot to be mailed. And the LAST day to pre register. After the 21st you will be ask to register whe you vote. 

Available Now- IN OFFICE VOTING IN THE AUDITOR'S OFFICE 8AM-4PM UNTIL NOVEMBER 4TH.

November 2nd- SATURDAY- Auditor's Office is open 9am-5pm for Absentee Voting.

Information Regarding the Upcoming Election

1. The “Temporary” polling location change for Precinct 2 to First Baptist Church, 614 Rossville Road, Waukon 2. There is NOT an election-specific drop box for returning absentee ballots in Allamakee County. 3. Office hours for absentee (early) voting are the same as regular office hours: M-F 8am-4pm. If voting Absentee By Mail, ballots must be received in the Auditor’s office by 8:00 pm (close of polls) on Election Day. 4. Absentee voting begins October 15, 2025. To request a ballot by mail, fill out an Absentee Ballot Request form http://sos.iowa.gov/elections/pdf/absenteeballotapp.pdf

In-Person Absentee Voting Starts Oct 15th, 2025

In-person absentee voting runs from Oct 15th until Nov 3rd in the Auditor's Office.
