Information Regarding the Upcoming Election 1. The “Temporary” polling location change for Precinct 2 to First Baptist Church, 614 Rossville Road, Waukon
2. There is NOT an election-specific drop box for returning absentee ballots in Allamakee County.
3. Office hours for absentee (early) voting are the same as regular office hours: M-F 8am-4pm. If voting Absentee By Mail, ballots must be received in the Auditor’s office by 8:00 pm (close of polls) on Election Day.
4. Absentee voting begins October 15, 2025. To request a ballot by mail, fill out an Absentee Ballot Request form http://sos.iowa.gov/elections/pdf/absenteeballotapp.pdf

Q.

If I change my mind on who I want to vote for after I have returned my ballot, can I get a new one?

A.

No. If you have already returned your absentee ballot to the Auditor’s office you may not request a new ballot if you have changed your mind on who you wish to vote for.

Q.

Can I pick up or request a ballot for someone else?

A.

No. In Iowa you can only request an absentee ballot for yourself.
